Ebola-style virus threatens the world’s smallest elephant

A tiny virus threatens the worlds elephant. Disease has an 80% fatality rate and worlds smallest -and rarest elephant is in danger of becoming extinct. With only 1,500 of these beautiful creatures left on the planet a deadly cocktail of viral infection, habitat loss and poaching could lead the Pygmy elephant on a trail to extinction.

The destruction of the world's rainforests definitively impacts and is caused by us. Deforestation will ultimately kills us all. This is World Rainforest Week and we should all do our bit to learn about the causes of this global problem and what you can do to help.
